NEET 2013

Exam Name:

NEET 2013 (National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance test 2013)

About NEET:

MBBS Common Entrance Exam 2013 will be conducted by MCI. Here you can avail the details such as national eligibility-cum-entrance test 2013, NEET 2013, MBBS Common Entrance 2013 timetable, dates, MBBS Common Entrance Exam 2013 result and Medical Common Entrance Exam 2013 updates.  The Medical Council of India (MCI) has made it clear in the notification published in the central gazette on December 27, that the Medical Council of India has decided to conduct a nationwide common entrance examination for admissions to medical colleges in the country.

According to MCI Additional Secretary Dr P Prasannraj “All admissions to MBBS course within the respective categories should be based solely on marks obtained in the national eligibility-cum-entrance test,” The minimum marks prescribed for students from SC, ST and OBCs shall be 40 per cent and for students with locomotor disability of lower level, it would be 45 per cent, notification said. Reservation of seats in medical colleges for many categories should be as per applicable laws prevailing in the concerned states and an All India merit list would be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test and admissions should be conducted on the basis of that list only, it said. MCI also proposed to conduct similar test for PG admissions in the Medical colleges
In order to resolve the hassles of medical aspirants preparing for the entrance into medical colleges, through various exams conducted by the centre as well as the state educational and entrance boards, and in order to bring about a uniformity in the selection patterns of students for the medical courses viz, MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and Surgery, the Medical Council of India has taken a decision to implement a common entrance examination known as NEET from the session 2013-2012. From then onwards medical aspirants have to give a single entrance examination for entrance into any of the medical colleges under the Medical Council of India all over the country, instead of giving specific examinations for different boards and universities. This exam will include premier institutes like AIIMS which used to conduct its own entrance test; however Armed Forces Medical College or the AFMC is exempted, since they recruit students for Armed Forces and have their own selection procedure, and different criteria of admission.
The examination will fill around 30,000 seats for the MBBS course and 11,000 seats for the MD course, with 138 government medical institutes and 133 private medical colleges coming under its purview. By the average participation of around 3.5 lakh students per year in the AIPMT, the success rate of this examination is going to amplify, and students with merit who were once left behind will have a fair chance to crack this one. Further since the dates and the counseling schedules will not clash due to the presence of just one entrance examination known as NEET. This also has removed the major concern of students who actually had no idea of the various entrance examinations conducted all over the country. And also all the seats of medical colleges all over India has been open to all, so no state specific filling from 2013.
NEET or National Eligibility :

NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2013 is a All India Medical Entrance Exam for admission to MBBS Entrance Exams 2010, MBBS in India,All India Medical Entrance Exam,National Level All India Entrance Exam.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will allow plus two students to sit in a single entrance examination to get admission to almost all medical colleges in the country, including private medical colleges, from 2013 academic year.
  • A single merit list will be created for close to 35,000 MBBS seats across the country, which will show state, minorities and SC/ST quotas.
  • The entrance examination would cover all medical colleges except the Armed Forces Medical College and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi and the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh may be outside the NEET’s purview as these institutes were set up by separate laws
  • While the MCI will not touch the management quota, it insists that even management quota candidates should come from the national merit list. The objective was to set up a standard for basic medical education. The minority institutions would continue to have a quota and a private college could have a management quota. But the reserved seats would have to be filled on the basis of merit

Respected sir,
Directly coming to the point I want to inform you that the NEET you have announced is not efficient for us, (the student of Gujarat) because our syllabus is not as tough as your syllabus. And we are unable to corporate with you because we cannot be prepared for all this jut in 1 year. It is just like saying a 1 year old baby to win 200 meter race in Olympic we at least need 2 or 3 years to be prepared for it. Our teacher told us for development of country then others and then for us. So we want all the students of Gujarat to walk together not like a pieces of glass here and there.

So we are requesting to postpone NEET not for 2 or 3 years but at least for 1 year
