AIIMS 2012 FAQ's

Who is eligible to apply ?

Candidates who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a  minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates) aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or whose results of Class-XII are likely to be declared by 7th July, 2010 are eligible to apply.

How can I procure application form? Can I apply online?

Off line Application can be obtained by post from  Examination Section, AIIMS

What is Examination Pattern For this exam?

One paper consisting of 200 objective type (multiple choice and assertion-reason type) questions from

  • Physics(60),
  • Chemistry(60),
  • Biology(60)
  • General knowledge(20)

What is the reservation criterion ?

77 seats in MBBS ( General -37, SC-11, ST-5, OBC-19, Foriegn National -5 ) For Indian Nationals, 3% reservation for orthopaedic physically handicapped shall be provided on horizontal basis, in the seats available.

How to sort out the problem regarding with application of AIIMS?

In case of any mistake you can drop mail at AIIMS helpline exam.ac@gmail.com or fax  011-26588789. For E-mail, please follow instructions- Always write in subject of email to AIIMS following things

  • Exam Name with session and year
  • Challan No./Registration No./Application No
  • For Example: Email Subject: “MBBS July2012 - 1013000038”

And in message always mention following things:Problem description, Entrance Exam Name with session and year, registration number, candidate name, E-mail Id, Contact number.
