Q1. What is the eligibility criteria?

Ans. The eligibility criteria is as follows:

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 50% aggregate marks in PCB(40% for SC/ST).

Q2. What is the criteria for reservation of seats?

Ans. The reservation of seats is as follows:

  • Total seats for MBBS -150 / BDS -100
  • MBBS ( General - 127 , NRIs/Mgnt/POI - 23 )
  • BDS ( General - 85 , NRIs/Mgnt/POI - 15 )

Q3. Where are the forms available?

Ans. The forms are available at all the Andhra Pradesh branches all over India

Q4. What are the application submission dates?

Ans. The forms will come out after first week of July 2012. The last date for submission of forms is last week of April 2012 and with late fees : second week of May 2012

Q5. When is the entrance exam?

Ans. The entrance exam will be held in the last week of May 2012.

Q6. Is it a state level exam or an All-India level exam?

Ans. It is an All-India level exam

Q7. Which colleges come under exam?

Ans. 2 colleges come under the exam: Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College & Hospital, Pimpri, Pune
-Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune

Q8. What is the cost of application form?

Ans. The cost of application form from the University office on payment of Rs. 500/- (for super-specialty programmes Rs. 1,000/-) by cash or D.D. Through a requisition letter with name of course, opted for, detailed correspondence address with contact no. and e-mail address, along with a demand draft of Rs. 600/- (for super-specialty programmes Rs. 1,100/-)

Q9. In whose favour is the DD to be issued?

Ans. DD is to be drawn on any nationalized bank, in favour of "Registrar, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth", payable at Pune
