PATTERN OF AIPMT 2011
The entrance examination consists of :

Preliminary Examination:

The Preliminary Examination would consist of onepaper containing 200 objective type questions(fouroptions with single correct answer) from Physics,Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to beanswered on the specially designed machinegradablesheet using Ball Point Pen only.
The duration of paper would be 3 hours. Final Examination:(Only for those who qualify in the PreliminaryExamination).he Final Examination would consist of one papercontaining 120 objective type questions(fouroptions with single correct answer) from Physics,Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) tobe answered on the specially designed machinegradablesheet using Ball Point Pen only.The duration of paper would be 3 hours.

The Preliminary Entrance Exam has 200 objective type questions in all from Physics(50 questions), Chemistry(50 questions) and Biology(100 questions) CBSE Syllabus of 11th and 12th. The paper will be of 3 hours. Each question will have 4 options. For a correct response the candidate will get 3 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.

Language  Of The Question Papers

Candidates can opt for Question Papers either in English or in Hindi. This option should be exercised while filling
in the Application Form. It cannot be changed later.
