PROCEDURE

Manipal University invites candidates whose ranks are included in the above counselling schedule for Counselling 2010.  Please go through the following instructions:

Ø Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility requirements given in page no. 12-14 of the prospectus 2010.

Ø The physical presence of the candidate at the counselling is mandatory. If a candidate is prevented by unavoidable circumstances from being physically present for the counselling, he/she may authorise another individual to represent him/her at the counselling.  This representative must carry the authorization. Ø Only the candidate/representative will be allowed into the counselling hall.  Candidate should sign the attendance register to mark their presence and fill the registration forms available at the registration counter.

Ø Candidates will be called as per their ENAT 2010 rank for biometrics and document verification.  Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available.  Such candidates should submit their original documents and pay the first year fees at the counselling.  Request for extension of dates for payment of fees or submission of original documents will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Ø Absence of the candidate or his/her representative at the indicated reporting time and date will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for a seat.

Ø The choice of course made by the candidate/representative is final and binding and cannot be altered later under any circumstances.

Ø Admission Order and receipt/s for the payment made will be given to the candidate on completion of the admission process.

Ø Selected candidates should fill the State Bank of India account opening form for combo ID card.  The filled-in SBI account opening form should be submitted at the SBI counter. The combo card will function as university photo identity card, access control card, ATM and debit card.  The combo card will not be issued if the account opening form is not submitted at the SBI counter.

Ø Candidates who require hostel facility should report to chief warden of the allotted campus for hostel enrollment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Part payments or payment in installments is not permitted.  Nonpayment of the first year fees on the day of counselling will result in instantaneous forfeiture of seat.   

DOCUMENTS

• e-Hall Ticket (for ENAT Courses only)
• NATA score card ( for BArch applicants only)
• 10th standard marks card for proof of date of birth
• Marks card of 10+2
• Conduct and Character certificate to be obtained on the School/College letter head/pad. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted
• Transfer Certificate or School/College Leaving Certificate issued by the School/College. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted
• Four recent and identical passport size photographs and one stamp size photograph
• Family income certificate by concerned Teshildar or attested photocopy of the income tax return form (for students whose family income is less than Rs. 2.5 lakhs)

IMPORTANT NOTE: All the candidates are required to produce the above original documents for verification.  In the event of admission, the University will retain these documents till the completion of the courses.

SCHOLARSHIPS & FREESHIPS

FREESHIPS - Candidates admitted to MBBS course within the first 500 ranks and BDS, BE, BPharm courses within the first 1000 ranks in the respective ENAT merit list are offered 100% freeship. Such freeships are limited to 5% of the general category seats.
