About Exam

Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is an entrance examination for admission in a number of professional courses like engineering, medical, pharmacy, biotechnology, veterinary etc in private/government colleges in Andhra Pradesh. EAMCET is conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher education(APSCHE).

For all the B.Tech/B.E. courses (except B.Tech(Biotechnology)), B.Pharma(MPC) & B.Sc (Commercial Agricultrure& Business Management (CA&BM).  There is a common entrance exam consisting of questions from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. A large number of students from across the state of Andhra Pradesh appear for EAMCET every year and the competition is quite tough.

Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate should have cleared class 12th exams with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. For engineering & Pharmacy courses candidates should be atleast 16 years of age.EAMCET is only open for the candidates belonging to Andhra Pradesh.

Date of EAMCET Examination: 30th May 2010

Test Timings:For Medical Stream:2:30PM to 5:30PM

Date of commencement of Sale and Receipt of application Forms: 22-02-2010

Last date of sale of applications forms: 15-04-2010

The exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) and the merit obtained in this exam is applicable for getting admission in various Government and private colleges in Andhra Pradesh
