TheAll India Institute of Medical Sciences will conduct the AIIMS 2013 exam for admission in MBBS course at AIIMS and other six AIIMS like institutions for the academic year of 2013. The candidates will be admitted on basis of merit obtained by the candidates in the AIIMS 2013. The exam has been announced and will be conducted on 1st of June, 2013.

The total number of seats that will be under AIIMS 2013 exam are 77 out of which 5 seats will be reserved for the Foreign Nationals.

Prior applying for the exam, the candidates should ensure that they are eligible for it as per the norms and eligibility conditions of Eligibility Criteria of AIIMS 2013.

The Eligibility Criteria conditions for AIIMS 2013 will be divided into three categories for three kinds of candidates as follows:

· For Indian Nationals

· For Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)

· For Foreign Candidates

· For Indian Nationals:

i. The candidate must have completed 17 years of age till 31^st December of the year of admission.

ii. The candidate must have passed Chemistry, Biology, English and Physics exams of Class XII level under the SSC/10+2/I.Sc. scheme or any other equivalent exam. Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS 2013 has specified the minimum aggregate to be 60% for GEN and OBC candidates and 50% for ST/SC candidates in the above mentioned exam.

iii. The candidates, who are appearing in the above mentioned qualifying exams in the year of 2013, are also eligible for taking exam given their result will be submitted till the admissions are started.

· For Overseas Citizen of India (OCI):

i. The AIIMS 2013 Eligibility Criteria norms make the OCI candidates to be eligible for the exam given they submit a proof of their registration as OCI and rest of the eligibility conditions are same as that of Indian Citizens.

· For Foreign Nationals:

i. The foreign candidates who are chosen by the Government of India must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% in the subjects of Chemistry, English, Biology and Physics in the exam considered equivalent to the class XII exam of India. Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS 2013 frees the foreign candidates from sitting in the exam to get admission.

Reservation of Seats for AIIMS 2013 for different categories is:

• Scheduled Castes: 11
• Scheduled Tribes: 5
• OBC: 19
• Foreign Nationals: 5
• General Category: 37

Reservation of Seats for AIIMS 2013 in the new 6 New AIIMS like institutions will be as follows:

• ST: 7.5%
• SC: 15%
• OBC: 27%

· Physically Handicapped candidates: 3% horizontal reservation.

Application Form for AIIMS 2013

The Application Form will be filled ONLINE in between 25th of February, 2013 and 24th of March, 2013 by CLICKING HERE or logging onto: http://mbbs.aiimsonline.in/StudentLogin.aspx - the official portal for application filling and the candidates are advised to fill the form as per the given instructions otherwise their applications will be rejected.

Then, the online form will appear and the details as asked should be filled in by the candidate.

The Application Form Fee of Rs. 1000/- (GEN and other Categories) or Rs. 800/- (SC/ST) has to be deposited in the SBI bank branches via the Challan form available online or via the Credit/Debit Cards online. The candidates should make sure that the contact details and credentials mentioned by them in the Application Form of AIIMS 2013 are correct and complete as they will form as the sole basis for any further communication and references in admission process.

Result of AIIMS 2013

The Result will be declared around the third week of July 2013. The result will comprise of merit list in which the candidates will be arranged in the increasing order of their ranks.

The number of candidates included in these merit lists is as follows:

i. Common Merit List: 37

ii. Scheduled Caste: 11

iii. Scheduled Tribe: 5

iv. Other Backward Classes: 19
