About Exam:
Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Pre Medical(MGIMS-PMT) Test is an entrance test for admission to MBBS course in Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Science is situated in Wardha, Maharashtra. MGIMS PMT is conducted in Mumbai, Nagpur, Delhi and Hyderabad. In MGIMS PMT candidates have to write an essay on Gandhian thought in addition to the regular PMT questions.
Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences is managed by Kasturba Gandhi Society. It was founded in 1969 and uptil 1997 was affiliated to Nagpur University. Since then it is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nasik. Every year over 14,000 candidates appear for MGIMS PMT for 65 seats so the competition is really tough.
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must attain 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. The Candidate must have passed 12th standard examination under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent examination of any recognised Board or any Indian University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually in each subject in one and the same attempt. The candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks (40% in the case of SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/ OBC) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

- Capacity of admissions to MBBS from 65 to 100 seats
