Selection Process : Through Admission Test.
Note: The candidates should secure atleast 50% marks in the Admission Test to become eligible for selection.
Procedure For Submission Of Application Form
1. Fill up the ONLINE Application Form by following the instructions given above and also available attached to the Form. Take the Printout of the PDF Generated Application Form on A-4 Size paper of not less than 80 GSM (applying ONLINE)
OR
Download the appropriate Application Form from the website meant for the course for which the candidate wishes to apply and get it printed on A-4 size paper of not less than 80 GSM. Fill up the Application Form by following the instructions given above in CAPITAL letters using black ball point pen (applying OFFLINE)
2. Put your thumb impression, signature and paste your recent photographs at the designated place on the Application Form.
3. Attach the appropriate Demand Draft / Cash Receipt along with other relevant document(s) with the Application Form and do not fold or multilate it in any way.
4. Put the Application Form inside the A-4 Size Envelope and paste the Postal Slip on the top after filling it properly.
5. Application Form can be submitted by hand or sent by Registered Post / Speed Post or through Courier so as to reach up to 5 p.m. on or before the last date of receipt to the respective offices as given under each course of study.
Note: Candidates are advised to retain a photocopy of their filled-in form for future reference.
Documents To Be Submitted With The Application Form
1. The Admission Test Fee / Processing Charges (non-refundable) as mentioned against each course is to be remitted through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, A M U, Aligarh payable at Aligarh
OR
Cash Receipt from Finance Office, AMU, Aligarh Candidate must attach the original Demand Draft/Cash Receipt with his / her Application Form and also write his/her name, date of birth, course of study and Transaction ID (if available) on the reverse of the Demand Draft/Cash Receipt.
2. Self attested copy (both sides) of High School / Secondary School Certificate (SSC Examination) in support of date of birth.
3. Self attested copy (both sides)of Marksheets / Gradesheets of qualifying examination. In case the result of the qualifying examination has not been declared at the time of applying, candidate must submit self attested photocopies of marksheets / grade sheets of examination passed in the preceding year.
4. Self attested copy (both sides) of Marksheets / Gradesheets of all other examinations passed / appeared (including parts therein) after passing High School till date.
5. Self attested copy of documents in support of claim under special categories, if any.
6. Documents in support of Professional Experience, if any.
7. No Objection Certificate from the employer, if employed at present.
8. Self attested copy (both sides) of qualifying GATE examination, if any (applicable only for applicants to M.Tech. courses ).
9. Any other relevant document.
Note: Incomplete Application Forms, those received late, without requisite fee and not supported with the required certificates / documents may be summarily rejected and no further correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
Last Date For Submission Of Photocopy Of Marksheets / Grade Sheets
For all courses where Selection Process is based on (or has a component of) candidate’s performance in the Qualifying Examination, the candidate must submit self attested photocopy of his/her marksheet / grade sheet of Qualifying Examination(both sides) so as to reach in the respective offices as given under each course of study up to 5:00 PM on or before June 18, 2011 failing which their Application Forms will be summarily REJECTED.
Important Rules For Filling Up Seats Reserved (03% Of The Approved Intake) For Physically Challenged Persons :
1. Only those eligible candidates shall be considered for admission under the physically challenged category who have degree of disability to a minimum extent of 40% as prescribed in the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.
2. The certifying authority in all such cases will be a medical board at the district level consisting of the Chief Medical Officer/Sub-Divisional Medical Officer in the District and another expert in the specified field viz. Ophthalmic Surgeon in the case of visually challenged (handicapped) and ENT Surgeon or an Audiologist in case of speech and hearing challenged (handicapped), an Orthopaedic Surgeon or a Specialist in Physical Medicine and re-habilitation in case of locomotor challenged (handicapped).
3. Such candidates would be considered for admission only to those courses of study/disciplines where their physical disability is not considered as a hindrance in pursuing the course of study.
4. The degree / extent of disability of the concerned candidate, certified by the designated medical board shall be verified by the concerned Chairman of the Department of Studies (Orthopaedic Surgery/ Oto-rhinolaryngology / Ophthalmology) of the Aligarh Muslim University at the time of completion of admission formalities.

A list of cities where Admision Test for various courses of studies is to be held is given below. Candidates are required to indicate in the column provided in Application Form their preference of Admission Test Centres against the available Test Centre options for various courses:

Note:
1. The University reserves the right to change/cancel any Test Centre without assigning any reason.
2. The University reserves the right to allot any Test Centre to a candidate irrespective of the preference indicated by him/her on the Application Form without assigning any reason.
3. Complete addresses of the Admision Test Centres in various cities will be available on our website well before the commencement of the Admission Tests.
4. For courses where selection is through Deprtmental Test, the Test Centre will be only in Aligarh
