The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges  Association in their end eavour to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students wanting to seek admissions to the Under-Graduate Medical, Dental and Engineering Courses of the Member Institutions, have formed "Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka” COMEDK UGET 2011, has been assigned the task of organising a Common Entrance Test.

ComedK Eligibility

General Merit Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination, recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. As per the Medical Council of India (MCI) and Dental Council of India (DCI) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB, Further must secure not less than 50% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test (COMEDK UGET 2011).

SC, ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination, recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. As per the Medical Council of India (MCI) and Dental Council of India (DCI) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 40% of marks taken together in PCB. Further must secure not less than 40% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test (COMEDK UGET 2011).

Age: He/she shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December (31/12/2011) of the year of admission to the MBBS/BDS Course.

Application Forms:

Application are to be filled online on our website:- www.comedk.org after obtaining a DD for Rs. 800/- for 3 subjects (PCM or PCB) and Rs.1000/- for all 4 subjects(PCMB) in favour of "COMEDK", payable at Bangalore (Non refundable fee) and posted to the below given COMEDK address along with the DD and the documents asked for on or before 19-04-2011.

Note: Neither the Application forms or filled in Applications will be sold or received in COMEDK Office or any Member Institutions.

COMEDK UGET 2011 Application Form

COMEDK under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET) 2011 is likely to be held on 08 May, 2011 at various centres in Karnataka. It is expected that the ComedK Application Form for Comedk UGET 2011 will be out in the month of March 2011.

The candidates aspiring to pursue Under Graduate courses (MBBS & BDS) in Dental and Medical Colleges in the State of Karnataka. during the academic year 2011-2012 must fill the Comedk UGET Application Form and appear for the qualifying exam.

Candidates are advised to check with the individual colleges on their own for the exact number of seats, fee structure, selection criteria and cut-off marks for admission in MBBS and BDS courses.
