GCET 2012 Notification




The Directorate of Technical Education, Govt of Goa has invited applications for admission to following first year professional degree courses of session 2012-13 through common entrance test (GCET 2012) and applicable to the Govt, Govt-aided and un-aided colleges in Goa offering bachelor’s degree in the fields of Architecture, Dentistry, Engineering, Medicine (Allopathic and Homoeopathy) and Pharmacy

Medicine (MBBS); Dentistry (BDS); ; Pharmacy (B.Pharm); Architecture (B.Arch); Homoeopathy (BHMS) in the institute of Goa Medical College; Goa Dental College and Hospital; Goa College of Pharmacy; PES’s Rajaram and Tarabai Bandekar College of Pharmacy; Shri Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital

Candidates may utilize downloaded application form-A for appearing at GCET 2012 and submit the same in person at notified application reception centre as per centre opted, along with a demand draft of Rs 400/- (towards the prospectus fee) and the test fee of Rs 550/- by demand draft payable in favour of Director of Technical Education at Panaji-Goa, drawn on any scheduled bank and three identical photographs as indicated, and other relevant certificates (self-attested photo copies) to obtain the photo-admit card, from the admission committee

Completed applications are to reach Chairman, Admission Committee, Directorate of Technical Education, Alto-Porvorim, Bardez, Goa-403521 on or before the specified date

Eligibility

Candidates who have already passed/have appeared or are appearing at HSSC (std XII science) or equivalent examination, before the start of the academic session, are eligible to appear at GCET 2012

All candidates desirous of seeking admissions to degree courses in Architecture must appear and have a valid score in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), conducted on-line by Council of Architecture

An applicant to degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry and Homoeopathy must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the academic year of admission to become eligible for admission to first year

Applications Form: Prospectus shall be available at notified places on payment of Rs 400/- in cash (extra service charge notified payable to designated branches of notified Bank)

Outstation candidates can obtain the prospectus and application form by sending request to Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Alto-Porvorim, Goa-403521 along with a demand draft of Rs 400/- payable in favour of Director of Technical Education at Panaji

Directorate of Technical Education, Goa has invited applications for direct admission to 2nd year of Professional Degree courses of session 2012-13 through Common Entrance Test (GCET 2012) to the following courses in Govt, and un-aided colleges in Goa offering bachelor’s degree in the fields of Engineering (B.E.) and Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

PES’s Rajaram and Tarabai Bandekar College of Pharmacy

Eligibility: Candidates who have already passed/have appeared, or are appearing at Diploma/Degree or equivalent examination, before the start of the academic session, are eligible to appear at GCET 2012

Pharmacy: Candidate must be an Indian National

Candidate must have passed the Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 45% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) aggregate marks (2nd year) from board of technical education, Goa, including specified practical training

Candidate must have passed the Diploma course from Goa College of Pharmacy, Panaji, Goa

The D.Pharm students admitted under above provision to 2nd year B.Pharm science course will have to appear and pass in subjects, as specified by Goa University

Candidate who has passed Diploma from other States shall be eligible only for the seats remaining vacant after admitting all the candidates from Goa, only if he/she fulfills other eligibility criteria, including GCET 2012
