JIPMER MBBS Exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) Puducherry. Students who have completed 10+2 are eligible for JIPMER MBBS 2012 Exam. JIPMER Puducherry is affiliated to Pondicherry University for award of degrees and diplomas.

JIPMER Puducherry plays an active role in research in different fields of modern medicine & health and medical education. A research council looks after the research activities and scientific society provides forum for presentation of the research work.

A number of conferences, workshops, seminars and training courses are conducted by the institute every year. Funds for research come from different mural and extramural sources like ICMR, UGC, DBT, WHO, etc. A number of research papers are published by students and faculty every year in various national and international journals. Indian Journal of Pharmacology is published from JIPMER.

JIPMER 2012 Application Form

Aspirants can apply only through an Online Application Form which will be available from March 28, 2012 to April 27, 2012. The JIPMER MBBS prospectus containing eligibility criteria, educational qualification, process of online application, payment of fees, etc. can be viewed / downloaded from JIPMER Website.

After submission of online application, the print out of the application form with assigned number should be posted along with required enclosures, photograph/finger prints, etc. on or before 01.05.2012, to the following address:

JIPMER 2012 Exam Pattern

JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam shall be objective type (multiple choice type) test.

JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam shall ask questions in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

Total number of questions shall be 200 (50 in each subject i.e. physics, chemistry, zoology and botany)

The level of questions shall be comparable with class 11th and 12th syllabus in physics, chemistry, zoology and botany.

Each correct answer shall be awarded 1 mark.

There is no negative marking in JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam

JIPMER MBBS 2012 Eligibility Criteria

Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for JIPMER MBBS 2012 Entrance Exam. Also applicant must have completed last 2 years of study program form school based in India.

Date of Birth: The candidate must be an Indian National born on or before January , 1996

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed / appeared for Higher Secondary Course (10+2) / Equivalent with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and a pass in English for UR and 45% for UR-OPH and 40% for SC/ST/OBC
