Mamata Medical College is the first private, self funded College to have earned final recognition from Medical Council of India as a Medical College, in the State of Andhra Pradesh with 150 annual admissions in take.

» The credit for this goes to the dedicated efforts of the staff, students and the management. The Medical College was started in the year 1998 and has obtained final recognition from Medical Council of India and Government of India in March, 2003.

» It has obtained the permission from MCI & Govt. of India for starting 19 Post Graduate Degree and 11 Diploma Courses in different clinical and non-clinical departments in the year 2003, and has obtained permanent recognition status from MCI in December 2006.

» M.Sc. Medical Courses like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Microbiology are started in the year 2003 with permission of the NTR University.

» Located in the heart of the City of Khammam, this College attracts students from all over the Country and abroad.

» The advantage the students of Mamata have are an ideal ambience for pursuing studies, highly qualified and experienced faculty, proper facilities like air-condition class rooms, labs, library, auditorium, hostels for boys and girls, staff quarters, transportation facilities, sports facilities etc., and a large, well equipped, well staffed, and properly functioning teaching hospital.

» Abundant clinical material is available to the students in the attached 780 beded teaching hospital by name Mamata General Hospital which is within the campus and it is providing free treatment to all out patients and elective inpatients. All diagnostic tests like X-ray Ultra Sound blood and Urine tests in the central lab are done free of cost. All inpatients are given two times free food from last 6 years. Students get excellent hands on experience in the hospital and they learn through live demonstrations

» The students learn to cure as well as care for the patients. The stress is laid on the ethos and moral values of the medical profession.
