Patliputra Medical College Dhanbad was established in 1969. The college has facility for paramedical training courses in different streams. There are six departments in the institute that provide many management, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses.

The Institute has comprehensive services for instructing, research and patient-care. Instructing and research are guided in 42 disciplines. In the area of medical investigation Patliputra Medical College is the lead, having more than six hundred research publishing by its faculty and researchers in a year.

Approximately there are 10,000 textbook and acknowledgment scripts, prominent number of Indian and Foreign journals. The Library has fields distributed for the students and faculty members individually and departments for periodicals, Audio-Visual projection, photocopiers and browsing centre.

Admission procedure

Admission into MBBS Course would be done by CEE conducted by PSG. P S G provides MBBS & PG Course. A Candidate who has passed his Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology or Botany & Zoology are eligible to apply.
