Lady Hardinge Medical College
In the year 1914, when the world saw a devastating world war, Lady Hardinge laid down the foundation stone of an educational institute for the service of humanity in Delhi. Lady Hardinge College and the associated hospital became operational from 7th February 1916 as Lord Hardinge inaugurated the college on that day.
Since then the college has focused in providing quality education to its students and today it is one of the most prestigious colleges of Delhi University providing medical education. It got affiliated to Delhi University in 1950 but the postgraduate courses of Lady Hardinge College were started in 1954 in affiliation with Punjab University. But from 1956 even the postgraduate courses were affiliated to the University of Delhi. Admission

How To Get Into Lady Hardinge Medical College?
Admission to Under Graduate courses at Lady Hardinge College :- Admission for the 130 seats of the MBBS courses at Lady Hardinge College is based on the performance of the candidates in the Delhi Pre-medical Test (DPMT).
DPMT is conducted to admit students for two other medial colleges affiliated to the University of Delhi. They are Maulana Azad medical College and University College of Medical Sciences & GTB Hospital.
Candidates should have at least 50% (40% for SC/ST) marks in PCB and one elective subject. Admission notification for the DPMT generally comes out in the month of February.
Admission to post Graduate courses at Lady Hardinge College:- Admission to the postgraduate courses at Lady Hardinge Medical College is based o the performance of the candidates in the Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test (PGMET), conducted by the University of Delhi. Only medical graduates of Delhi University are eligible to appear for the PGMET.
