About SJM Dental College & Hospital



The SJM Vidyapeetha started Basaveshwara Medical College in the backward district Chitradurga, to reach the medical education to the un reached in particular and the development of this backward region in general, in the year 2001-02. Today it is a full-fledged college with required physical and human infrastructure as required by the Medical Council of India and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Established in the academic year 1985-86 the Dental College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and recognized by Dental Council of India, New Delhi. Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Course of 4 years plus one year internship if offered. College has bagged several university ranks and has produced over 1000 number of Dental doctors and surgeons. The Dental College and Hospital are developed as per the norms of the Dental Council of India, New Delhi.
