Government Medical College Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, started functioning in 2000. The college is affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. It is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), Government of India, New Delhi and Government of Andhra Pradesh. Renowned as one of the premier medical colleges in the country, Government Medical College Anantapur conducts an undergraduate course in the medical sciences - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
