Goa Medical College (GMC) is one of the oldest medical colleges in Asia, built by the Portuguese in 1842 as the Escola Medico-Cirurgica de Goa. The college is located at Bambolim, in Goa, India.







The college is affiliated to Goa University. Medicine was taught in Portuguese for over four hundred years, first by Portuguese priests in the theological colleges of Old Goa, and then in Escola Medico-Cirurgica itself. After Goa became a part of India in 1961, the medium of instruction was changed to English.







A nice warm place with lots of opportunities to learn radiology. A government college that can boast of having all the modalities under one roof and the expertise!..the work load is healthy and a vast library albeit a little disorganised

Eligibility:



Undergraduate:

Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of Goa Board or examination conducted by the CBSE with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English.



Post Graduate Diploma:

The candidate should possess Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject.



Post Graduate:

Graduation in the relevant stream is compulsory.

Admission Procedure:

Merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination by the candidate.



Post Graduate:

Admission is based on the merit list of the candidates.
