Guru Gobind Singh Medical College offers 5.5 years bachelor's degree courses in MBBS. Admission to this course is made through a merit list prepared on the basis of the score of the candidates in the PMET - Punjab Medical Entrance Test. In this course the reservation available to different reserved categories like SC, ST and OBC is as per the Government of India norms.

PMET:

The PMET is open to candidates from Punjab. Central Govt. nominees and November 1984 riot-affected displaced persons are exempted.

1% seats are reserved for children/widows of Punjab Police, PAP, Punjab Home Guards (killed/disabled), 2% for Nov. 1984 riot affected displaced persons/ terrorist affected, 2% for State Govt. nominees (MBBS 6/BDS 1), and 2 seats are reserved for wards of medical staff of Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot with 5 years of service.

15% seats in all private institutions and specified number of seats in Government Institutes are earmarked for the Non-Resident Indians.



Admission calendar

New session starts in the month of June-July. First year students are advised to visit the campus a few days before the start of the session to get accustomed to the place.
