About Exam (PMEE 2012):
Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust (HIHT) University in Dehradun, Uttarakhand will announce the date of Pre Medical Entrance Examination 2012(PMEE 2012), also known as PMEE 2012. It is an entrance test (PMEE 2012)conducted for admission into the MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery) programme, conducted by its Medical College - Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, for the upcoming session 2012.
ELIGIBILITY
Age: Only those candidates, whose date of birth falls on or before 31st December, 1994 (minimum 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2012) are eligible to apply. Only date of birth recorded int he High School/ICSE or its equivalent certificate will be accepted. The Upper Age limit shall be 25 years as on 31.12.2012.
Minimum Qualification:
The candidates must have passed the 10+2, i.e. C.B.S.E/I.S.C/Intermediate Board Examination or its equivalent, after a period of 12 years of study, the last two years of such study, comprising of physics, chemistry biology/biotechnology and English from a recognized Board. The Candidates must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 60% (For SC/ST/OBC candidates 50%) marks in aggregate taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology and at least 50% (For SC/ST/OBC candidates 40%) marks separately in each of the above subjects in the qualifying examination. The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination and whose results are not yet available, are also eligible to appear in the PMEE-2012 but such candidates should submit the mark sheet of the qualifying examination on or before 15.06.2012, such candidates shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS course, if they do not fulfill the eligibility criteria.
