Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (Tripura JEE 2012)conducts Tripura JEE exam.Tripura Joint Entrance Examination organized for selecting candidates for engineering, medical, agricultural and technological along with various other professional degree courses against seats reserved for the State of Tripura (excluding seats reserved in REC / NITS) including the seats of Tripura Engineering Colleges.

Eligibility:

The candidate must pass their Higher Secondary Examination of Tripura Board of Secondary Education/Central Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized board/university, with the subjects in which the candidate desires to appear at the Joint Entrance Examination. The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of Tripura.

Eligibility Criteria :

10+2 , 50% (gen) & 45% (sc/st)

Reservation of seats :

100% seats reserved for Tripura students ( Based on Tripura JEE 2012 score )
Other states students are not allowed to take admission

Date of Exam:

TBJEE Exam Date 2012 : 25th April, 2012 ( Wednesday ); Time : 11:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M ( Physics ), 2:00 to 4:00 ( Chemistry ).

TBJEE 2012 Exam Date : 26th April, 2012 ( Thursday ); Time : 11:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M ( Mathematics ), 2:00 to 4:00 ( Biology ).

TBJEE ADMISSION NOTIFICATION 2012:

The Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) will conduct JointEntrance Examination, 2012 on the basis of syllabi of Tripura Joint Entrance Examinationas updated in 2008 at Agartala, Udaipur and Kailasahar for preparingmerit list for admission to Engineering, Medical, Technological and other ProfessionalDegree Courses against available seats reserved for the State of Tripura (Excluding seatsreserved in NITs).The programme of the examination is:

Each of the subject of Examination will be of 100 marks comprising of 60% MultipleChoice Questions (MCQ) type and 40% subjective questions ie. Short Answer Questions(SAQ). Candidates seeking admission to Engineering / Technological Degree Courses(Group-A) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and those seekingadmission to Medical / Agricultural Courses, etc (Group-B) will have to appear inPhysics, Chemistry and Biology. Those desiring to take chances in both the above groups(Group-C) will have to appear in all the four subjects.

ELIGIBILITY FOR APPEARING AT THE JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

(a) Candidate must be a citizen of India.

(b) Candidate must be a permanent resident of Tripura and either the candidate or his/herparent must have been residing in the state of Tripura continuously for not less than 10(ten) years immediately prior to the date of making application for appearing at the JointEntrance Examination, 2012. Permanent Resident Certificate of parent (s) of thecandidate who has been studying / studied outside of Tripura must be submitted.

(c) Candidate must have passed / appeared / due to appear in the year of Joint EntranceExamination at the Higher Secondary Examination of Tripura Board of SecondaryEducation / Central Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with thesubjects in which he / she desires to appear at the Joint Entrance Examination.

(d) Children of All India Services Officers borne in Manipur-Tripura cadre and thechildren of the employees of State Government posted outside of Tripura will be eligibleto appear at the examination irrespective of their prior stay in Tripura.

(e) In case of Ward of Ex-Serviceman, either the candidate or his/her parents must havebeen staying in Tripura continuously for not less than 5(five) years immediately prior tothe date of making application for appearing at the Joint Entrance Examination and thecandidate must have passed or appeared / due to appear at the H.S.(+ 2) Examination orequivalent in the year Joint Entrance Examination from any institution of Tripura withsubjects in which he/she desires to appear at the Joint Entrance Examination. Children ofserving defence personnel (Army / Navy / Air Force) hailing from Tripura are alsoeligible to appear at the Tripura Joint Entrance Examination provided that their childrenshould have stayed in Tripura continuously for not less than 5 (five) years immediatelyprior to the date of making application for appearing at the Joint Entrance Examination ofTripura and that the candidate must have passed or appeared / due to appear at theH.S.Examination or equivalent Examination in the year of Joint Entrance Examinationfrom any institution of Tripura with subjects in which he / she desires to appear at theJoint Entrance Examination.

(f) If a candidate is allotted a seat in the past inside or outside the State on the basis of theresult of Joint Entrance Examination he/she shall not be eligible to appear at the JointEntrance Examination this year or subsequent year unless he/she surrendered the allottedseat in writing within specific time to the appropriate authority. However, if anyamendment / change is / are made after issue of this Notification, the same shall benotified as per procedure.
